Technical inspection for welding and pressure vessels

Welding and allied technologies

Welding is a fundamental technological process in the manufacturing of machinery and equipment for the energy, transport, construction, and chemical industries, among others.

Quality and safety of welded structures

In EU regulatory documents, welding and brazing are classified as "special" processes because, due to the limitations of existing methods, final product testing does not fully reflect the quality actually achieved. Undetected defects in the welded or brazed joints that make up the structure are inherent to these technological processes or originate during production; they may only manifest after the object has been put into service. Therefore, the safety of welded and brazed structures can be guaranteed only through the strict implementation of an organized system of rules and measures that effectively addresses quality-determining factors at every stage of production and testing.

Certification of a welding quality management system

We offer certification according to the following standards:

• ISO 3834 - Welding quality management system
• EN 1090 - Certification for fabrication of and assembly of steel and aluminium structures
• PED-2014/68/EU; PED 97/23/EC, 99/36/EC, 2010/35/EU, 87/404/EEC or 2009/05/EC - Conformity of pressure equipment and vessels
• Certification according to the German standard AD 2000 HP0 and W0 for manufacturers of pressure vessels and materials
• ISO 15614 and ISO 15613 - Approval of welding procedures
• EN 15085 - Welding of railway vehicles and their components
• Approval of welding procedures according to EN 13134, and approval of personnel brazers according to EN 13133.
• Portable pressure equipment and fixed pressure equipment
• Certification and verification of wood pellet stoves and fireplaces EN 303-5: 2012
• CE Mark

Certificates according to EN 1090, EN 15085 and AD 2000 HP0 are issued under German accreditation by TÜV NORD Systems GmbH & Co. KG, Germany and are registered in the relevant Online Registers - www.en1090.net, www.en15085.net and VdTÜV Merkblatt 1165.

Authorized body – main unit of TÜV Nord BG

The main unit of TÜV Nord BG is the Authorized Conformity Assessment Body, which received authorization No. 126-OS/03.08.2016 from the State Agency for Metrological and Technical Surveillance. The identification number assigned to the Authorized Body by the European Commission is No. 2613.

The Notified Body carries out conformity assessment of pressure equipment and assemblies in accordance with the Rulebook on Essential Requirements and Conformity Assessment of Pressure Equipment—which implements Directive 2014/68/EU and applicable harmonized standards—and applies the procedures set out in Annex 3 to Article 16 of the Rulebook, based on the following modules:

• Module B (product) / B (design);
• modul C2;
• modul F:
• modul G;
