PEFC CoC Chain-of-Custody

Certification in accordance with the regulations of PEFC CoC controls the chain of custody of wood-based materials, paper production, printing and printing products, as well as trade in certified products.
Wood (wood-based products) originating from PEFC-certified forests must be passed on to the buyer with the PEFC label: Users include loggers, wood processing plants, pulp and paper mills, printing companies and retailers. Therefore, the chain of custody, trade and processing must be certified to ensure that the raw materials and products are of PEFC origin: PEFC Chain-of-Custody (CoC) or certified chain of custody.

High standards are now set for participants in the forest sector. Forest service companies involved in timber extraction, supply of this valuable raw material, afforestation services and forest management can be certified to PEFC standards.

Legal requirements for business, technical standards, regulations for the prevention of occupational accidents and quality of work are currently assessed in three areas (economic, social and environmental). The PEFC certificate allows the certificate holder to participate in tenders announced for local traders by the State Forestry and Hunting Farms and the owners of municipal forests, confirming the company's responsible attitude to the quality of work in the forestry sector.
